When one says “I would do anything for my company”. Susanna began her time at Dox-al as a commuter, facing four hours of travel a day without batting an eyelid. She came to the company at a very young age, following a degree in Pharmacy. She was immediately offered a job at the end of her first interview, but due to the distances involved, she immediately thought that she would have never worked for the company, and yet she has been here for the past thirty years. At the beginning, she worked alongside the Manager at the time, and immediately got to work with her typical drive, to “set up the first forms of ISO certification”. One particularly noteworthy aspect is her transfer from the original Correzzana site to Sulbiate, which took place 20 years ago, in the period in which the laboratory manager, who was particularly fond of the place, was on holiday. It was a surprise that appears to have been inspired by Flavio Veneroni, who has always been behind every change.
Susanna moved on from Head of Quality Control and Validation to the development of the Pharmaceutical Workshop, to then dedicate her time to the creative invention of new solutions. Today, 90% of Dox-al products are entirely supervised by her. It is no surprise that she states that “Dox-al is my home”, an expression of a “total sense of belonging”. The company has allowed her to express her own skills, with a climate of trust that has favoured growth. By nature, she moves in parallel with Dox-al, “a company in constant progression, with a strong drive for innovation”, where the goal is to arrive before the others. Willingness, the capacity to listen to the client’s needs and the reliability that comes from competence are other values that distinguish Dox-al, and that are essential in order to stand out within the market. “I have learned so much here”, she claims, and despite her marked individualism, she also considers her “knowing how to work in a team” as a significant achievement.
Her scientific nature finds full expression in her daily work, but in her free time, she gives full reign to her creativity, which is also explosive. So, she paints with tempera and watercolours, acts in a theatre company, performs written works as an actor, sings and dances, and when she wants, she goes to the cinema and theatre as a spectator. Obviously, she spends the rest of the time in the company, which she stresses is “her second home”. She appreciates this particularly, because “here, they aim to give ample space to women”. In her case, it has been well worth the effort.
